Mobile patrols in Basel are the cost-effective form of guarding: instead of a permanent guard on site, a patrol drives to several properties in turn, checks them at varying times and documents every visit. Potential offenders cannot predict when someone will come by — and that is precisely where the deterrent effect lies.
Wingsecurity provides mobile patrols, lock-up services and alarm response in Basel-Stadt and Basel-Landschaft. We hold the cantonal authorisation for security services. Clients with a guarding contract can reach us around the clock.
What our mobile patrols cover
What is checked during a patrol is set out for each property in a set of patrol instructions. Typical services include:
- External checks: doors, gates, windows, roller shutters, fences and lighting
- Internal checks by arrangement: plant rooms, storage areas, floors, underground car parks
- Lock-up service in the evening and opening service in the morning, including arming and disarming the alarm system
- Checks on heating, water and lighting during vacancy or company holidays
- Alarm response: attending when an alarm is triggered, checking on site, informing the contact persons and, if necessary, the police
- Documentation of every check with the time and findings
Mobile patrols or static guarding?
Mobile patrols are suitable when a property does not need to be staffed permanently but should be checked regularly — such as office buildings, commercial properties, residential complexes or vacant buildings. Because several clients share the travel time, they are usually considerably more affordable than a continuous presence.
Where the risk is high, the assets are valuable or there is a lot of public footfall, property protection with a static guard makes more sense. We often combine both: a permanent presence at critical times, patrol checks the rest of the time.
Alarm response with your security technology
An alarm is of little use if nobody responds. If your alarm system or video surveillance is connected to Wingsecurity, we verify the alarm and attend if necessary. On site, we check the situation, secure open access points where possible and inform the agreed contact persons.
The time it takes us to arrive depends on location, time of day and traffic. We set out the procedure transparently in the contract, without blanket promises in minutes.
Keys, codes and confidentiality
For lock-up services and alarm response, we need access to your property. Keys and badges are registered and stored securely with us; alarm codes are treated confidentially. If staff change or the contract ends, you get everything back with full documentation.
